How do you find the SMA in mesenteric ischemia with no pulses.

Answer 1

1. Lift transverse colon cephalad, locate middle colic and trace it proximally to the root of the mesentery to locate SMA.
2. Identify LOT, open LOT and dissect to the patient right to identify the SMA running over the duodenum.
