What does the subclassification of CSVV include?
what is the subclassification of mixed (small-medium vessel vasculitis)
1) ANCA ASSOCIATED :
Wegnear granulomatosis
Churg strauss
microscopic polyangitis
drug induced
2) SECONDARY CAUSES
-infection
- AI-CTD or other inflammatory disorder
Medium vessel
polyarteritis nodosa
Large vessel vasculitis
temporal arteritis + takaysu
how does temporal arteritis look lik e?
Early- erythematous/cyanotic skin, alopecia, purpura, tender nodules on frontotemporal scalp
Late- ulceration and/or gangrene of frontotemporal scalp or tongue
how does takaysu arteritis look like?
Erythematous subcutaneous nodules ± ulceration, pyoderma gangrenosum-like lesions on the extremities (lower > upper).
May have evidence of small and/or medium-sized vessel vasculitis
pathogenesis of vasculitis ?
formation of antigen antibody complex ( the Ag source is probably drug, infectious and malignancy) —> sinking of these complexes in the post capillary venules —> complement system activation (c3a and c5a) —> resulting in degranulation of mast cells —> increased permiability and vasodilation —> resulting in further exacerbation of the process .
**additionaly formation of memebrane attack complex c5-9 cause s vasodilarion ,cytokine release, growth factors , coagulation and by that contribute to inflammation and coagulation
