Virtue Ethics 3 main points

Q

Drawbacks of Virtue Ethics

A
  1. If everyone lived sensibly and calmly, we would have a safe life but no extraordinary, out-of-the-box, staggering breakthroughs would happen
  2. Some of the Cardinal Virtues are quite aged (since they were developed when Aristotle was alive around 300s BCE), so shouldn’t our views on a ‘virtuous life’ be more modern and relevant to us now?
