These are located on either side of the midline on the superior surface, this is the thickest part of the bone
Where is the perpendicular plate
This is a thin vertical sheet of bone on the midline below the wings
Where is the posterior border
This is on the posterior of the perpendicular plate and divides the posterior nasal aperture into two halves
Where are the nasopalatine grooves
These are marks on both sides of the perpendicular plate, they run anteroinferiorly from the alae
How does the vomer articulate
Superiorly with the ethmoid, Inferiorly with palentine, posteriorly with the sphenoid
