a form of warfare in which armies conduct attacks on each other from opposition positions in fortified trenches

the area that separates the two trenches in trench warefare. Often filled with barbed wire and explosives

mustard/chlorine gas. caused blisters, blindness, and damage to lungs
tank
could drive over barbed wire. helped end the stalemate in the trenches
“Over the top”
attacking infantry rising out of their own trenches to assault the enemy.
