What is scree?
Scree is when cliff faces are eroded and then the rocks fall down create a slope.
Scree is a collection of broken rock fragments at the base of crags, mountain cliffs, volcanoes or valley shoulders. Weathering erodes it and then it falls down to form a slope.
How does freeze-thaw weathering erode cliffs?
Water goes into a crack and it freezes it then expands and then the ice melts into water. The result of the expansion is that the crack is wider.
