What is mass?
Mass is the amount of STUFF in an object. It is a scalar quantity, measured in kg.
What is weight?
Weight is the force acting on an object due to gravity (the pull of the gravitational force of an object). This is measured in Newtons, acting from a single point on the object, known as the centre of mass. It is measured using a calibrated spring balance (or Newton Meter). It is the pull of gravity on an object.
Weight formula
weight (N) = mass (kg) x gravitational field strength (N/kg)
