Why do i want early clinical exposure?

• I will be around patients my whole career so I think its vital to get comfortable with both patients and hospital staff, and learn the appropriate way to look after patients as soon as I am able to
• I will be able to apply my newfound knowledge from by PBL sessions almost immediately to real life patients
• work on clinical skills and get acquainted with hospital environment early

• Small group PBL teaching in conjunction with lectures and seminars
• PBL is case based, each week with new case with lectures and primary care placements to support
• modules based on body systems - methodical and makes the most sense to me
• cadaver dissection to understand anatomy - not offered at other medical school’s GREAT WAY to fully understand the human body and to visualise what has been taught
• development of communication through role play and consultant skills programme as COMMUNICATION IS CORE VALUE OF a doctor

+320 acres of park land really unique to UEA - running or walking for my own mental health to take a step back from stress and escape a bit from the academically rigorous workload
- not far from the coast - similar escape
- loved the city when I visited it
