A

A coded telegram sent to Mexico from Germany stating that they wanted to create an alliance. Germany wanted Mexico to attack the US and in return they would get back lost land.

The assassination of archduke Franz Ferdinand and the assassins hid in Serbia and Austria-hungary declared war on them but the alliance system made it world wide.
