A

Britain included themselves in the war and Australia is part of the British Empire. The Australian Government LEGALLY had no choice.

A

A lot felt enthusiastic at first, viewing it as an adventure with their friends.
There were 40,000 volunteers. By december 1914, 52,000 men volunteered to serve in the AIF (Australian Imperialism Force).
