Invisible Zipper

(SA 1/2”, SL: 2.5) 1. Tack zipper 1” below zipper notch. Set in 1/8”, up 1/8”. 2. Baste centre of zipper to 1/4” below zipper notch, both sides. 3. Roll back coil and sew as close as possible. FINISH AT ZIPPER NOTCH. 4. Close the 1/2” SA. Do not press.

Mock Fly

Answer 2

1. Serge the curve sides. 2. Sew 1/2” bottom to notch. 3. Press open. Press right side back at notch. Press left side 1/4” in from notch. 4. Set zipper 1/8” up and edge stitch on left side. 5. Pin CFs together. Sew right to facing in middle of zipper. 6. Topstitch 1” from fold to end of opening. Backstitch 3 times over opening.

Men’s Fly

Answer 3

1. Interface and serge fly facing and shield. 2. Sew zipper to facing 1/8” in and up. 3. Sew 3/8” from notch down 1 1/2” at crotch. 4. Sew facing to left front (no ext) 3/8”. 5. Press facing over, press other side 3/8” back. (1/4” from cf). 6. Edgestitch zipper to ext side. 7. Match cfs and sew zipper centre to facing. 8. Top stitch 1” to opening, add a tack. (watch the shield)
