- daily for assigned position
- monthly for all unassigned/reserve
putting a volunteer owned ready reserve unit in service

- vehicle coordinator provides vehicle number / location (can only get this specific unit!)
- OIC requests permission from BC/UFO prior to going out of service to switch over
- go to the reserve storage area of the building; sign in the logbook.
- perform an initial vehicle check utilizing vehicle inspection system.
- account for inventory of the vehicle.
- leave copy of vehicle inventory sheet in the inventory control box.
- transfer all equipment to reserve apparatus.
- insert vehicle identification placards
- do daily/weekly inspections on reserve apparatus.
removal of bio-hazardous waste
all FRD vehicles must be free of contaminated / infectious waste or trash prior to the performance of any evals or maintenance
OIC MUST ENSURE THIS WASTE IS REMOVED/PROPERLY DISPOSED
Return Procedures
- ensure vehicle is clean / full of fuel
- ensure the vehicle inventory is complete (any missing report to vehicle coordinator prior to leaving)
- one copy of the completed vehicle inventory deposited in the inventory control box
