Regulations related to FSSM (1.3.1)
At least one complete updated version of the FSSM must be on board.
Tablet instructions for cabin crew (1.3.5)
- be updated version as instructed by KLM
- be updated to latest required software configuration
- charged before reporting for flight
- be taken along on each flight
- latest version of web manuals before every first flight of trip from Ams
- synchronized with an interval of max 7 days (during trip cycle)
Trip cycle = from reporting until sign out.
Required cabin crew - ReqCC (1.5.2)
- from ams not less than ReqCC
- from an outstation may in unforeseen circumstances depart with less than ReqCC (communicated with OMF) provided: acting delegate appointed as PU, cabin-pax does not exceed 50, emergency positions are occupied, commander writes ASR.
ReqCC operating experience (1.5.2)
At least 2 of the ReqCC must have a minimum of 3 months operating experience as cabin crew.
Pu incapacitation (1.5.5)
Cpt selects the next most qualified CA to serve as PU, taking into account the operational experience of the available cabin crew.
AMS: relief PU must be assigned
Outstation/inflight: cpt select the next most suitable CA
(re-)familiarization flight is part of the AddCC - may not serve as next senior CA
ReqCC vs AddCC (1.5)
Required Cabin Crew - minimum number of qualified cabin crew required for flight safety on a commercial, pax carrying flight.
Additional Cabin Crew - cabin crew member assigned in addition to the ReqCC for passenger service or for inflight relief due to flight time limitations.
Qualification CabinCrew (1.6.4)
Initial and recurrent training shall be valid for 12 calendar months. Allowed to be scheduled within the last 3 months - occasionally up to 15 months between training may occur.
Verification cabin crew qualification (1.6.4)
May be obtained via cabin crew control FCC/CR.
Qualification ReqCC (1.6.5)
- flight safety qualified for applicable ac type
- worked on the Ac type at least once during the preceding 6 months.
- must wear official KLM uniform and applicable badges.
Qualifications of AddCC (1.6.6)
- must have taken part in at least the initial training + theoretical part
- may be assigned an emergency exit as long as the seating priority of the ReqCC has been complied with
- must wear official KLM uniform and applicable badges.
