  • no protection from STIs, should still use condoms
  • spotting bleeding
  • nausea at the beginning
  • breast tenderness
  • changes in mood & libido
  • hungry
  • headaches
  • want to stop by age 50 (as get more risks)

→increased risk breast & cervical cancer

→increased risk blood clots

hormone free, put in 3 hrs before sex with spermicide & leave for 6 hrs after →less effective & needs practice
