Example:

(= I should go home early today.)

(= I should buy a watch for my boyfriend.)
머리가 아파서 약을 먹어야겠어요.
(= My head hurts so much that I need to take a medicine.)

(= I should sit down here for a moment.)

  • Gives impression that listener does not have information the speaker is going to share

Example:
저는 샐러드를 먹을 거예요. 다이어트를 하고 있거든요.
(= I’m going to eat a salad. I’m on a diet.)
- 어제 잠을 잘 자지 못하였어요. 늦게까지 숙제했거든요.
(= I didn’t sleep well last night. I did my homework until late at night.)
