Acetaminophen (Indications)
Reduction of fever associated with febrile seizures in pediatric patients
Acetaminophen (Contraindications)
Hypersensitivity; Do not use with any other products containing acetaminophen
Acetaminophen (Dose)
15 mg/kg PO to be given every 4 hours, not to exceed 5 doses per day
Acetaminophen (SE and SN)
May be administered via rectal suppository (same dose) if patient is vomiting, the patient’s gag reflex is absent or is in question or the patient is not alert
