What is Barkleys moel of ADHD?
The child has problems with reward discounting and arousal regulation, caused by the frontal lobe, which causes poor behaviour inhibition. Executive functions rely on behaviour inhibition, if the EF’s cannot act properly then the child has poor adaptive effective functioning towards their social future.
