• Pubertal onset

- Localised pattern of attachment loss = 6s and incisors affected

What ate the features of generalised agggressive periodontitis?

• Usually <30 yrs but exceptions

- Generalised pattern of attachment loss = at least 3 teeth other than 6s and incisors

What are the risk factors for developing aggressive periodontitis?

• Poor OH

• Leukaemia
• Obesity
• Pregnancy

How is aggressive periodontitis managed?

• If suspected -> REFER
• AB may be helpful
• Daily CHX mw: 2 weeks
• OHI: at 4 weeks
• HPT: at 8 weeks
• Review w consultant: at 12 weeks
