Wavy lines in the RPE (i.e Retinal Epithelial Detachment) can be caused which different things?
1 - fluid (black)
2 - Drusen (light grey-ish)
3 - Fibrovascular (more dark greyish/mixed/messy)
What is a disciform scar?
Scar tissue from the choroidal neovascularisation in wet AMD.
Where does the neovascularisation in wet AMD happen and what types are there?
In the choroid (not retinal surface), hence why they don’t bleed in same way as diabetic neovascularisation.
CNV Type 3 - INTRARETINAL (start in retina and eventually would make their way to choroid)
CNV Type 2 - subRETINAL (start in choroid, cross RPE)
CNV Type 1 - subRPE (start in choroid, don’t cross RPE)
