CLASS
Class 3 antidysrhythmic
Na, K, Ca, and beta blocking effects
ACTIONS
By its Na K and beta blocking effects, it has a negative dromotropic effect on the SA node and it slows conduction and prolongs thee refractory period at the AV node. Has some Na blocking effects like class one antidysrhythmics Has a non competative beta/alpha adrenergic property Its K blocking properties slow conduction and prolong refractoriness. By prolonging the duration of the action potential and the effective refractory period, it slows conduction in the AV node, the SA node, and all cardiac tissue
Indications
