he fled with his wife, Iden, to his mother's village but his mother's relatives rejected him. He snuck back to his palace and Iden sold her belongings to pay for a seer, who told them they needed to do a human sacrifice. Iden sacrificed herself, allowing Ewuakpe to bury her alive.
