His subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say that they don’t want this man to be their king. He was however made king and then returned home.
Then he sent for the servants to find what they gained with the money he gave them.
First one said that his mina earned ten more. The master gave him ten cities because he was trustworthy.
The second said his mina earned five more. Then the master gave him five cities.
The third came and said here is your min and he has kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. He was afraid of him because the master was a hard man. And he said to his master he take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’
The master then said that he will judge him by his own words and calls him a wicked servant. He said that he know that he is a hard man, taking out what he did not put in, and reaping what he did not sow? The master asked him then why didn’t he put his money on deposit, so that when he comes back he could have collected it with interest.
Then the master told those standing by to take the servant’s minas and give to the one who has ten.
THey said sir, he already has ten.
He replied,’I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will e taken away. But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them- bring them here and kill them infront of me.’”
