Q

Define synaptomorphies and Clade?

A

Synaptomorphies are traits unique to a clade of organisms. And

A Clade includes an ancestor and all of its descendants.

Q

Traits can be divided into how many part and what are the parts?

A

2
Ancestral= traits inherited from ancestor and shared with other lineages.

or Derived= traits unique to specific lineage.

They are important for reconstruction of how organisms eveloved and their classification.

Q

Explain Lynn Margulis Endosymbiosis theory all?

A

Archean cell which was ANaerobic engulfed a bacterial celll which could make use of O2 to hravest ATP form organic cpds(prod more ATP)
Thus the realtionship was mutuallly beneficial. The Archean becomes a host while the bacteria becomes an endosybiont.

Overtime Endosymbiont evolved into Mitochandria.
