Antihistamine used to treat symptoms of hypersensitivity (allergic) reactions such as hay fever.

Indications?

Answer 2

• Severe anaphylactic reactions after initial resuscitation

- Symptomatic allergic reactions falling short of anaphylaxis but causing patient distress (e.g. severe itching)

Contraindications?

Answer 3

• Known hypersensitivity

- Patients who have been treated with MAOIs (type of anti-depressant) within the last fourteen days.

Dosage and administration?

Answer 4

Age per page for injection >12 =
10 milligrams in 1 ml.
for oral tablet >12 = 4 milligram

Injection: Intravenous (preferred route), intraosseous, intramuscular
Oral tablet
