The fact that they arent 100% inlighned with a class and therefore are the easist to convince as they are undecided so the main parties would taylor their election manifestos towards these groups of voters based on class identity

A

1) It was a part of someones class identity - so upper and middle class were known to spport conservatives and the party normally labour who voted the working class

2)Both major parties developed deep strong roots within communities so there was a culture for voting for one party - the commuter belt of london = conservatives and east = labour due to their stong assoctiations with trade unions

3)There was a selfish reason - what party depending on betering your class the most

The success of new labour achivement in attracting middle class support away from the conservatives, but the decline in class based votin habits has deeper roots
28
3 reasons why the corilation between class and voting has declined?
1) A trend known as class dealignment, this is a tendency for fewer people to define themselve with a class - for xample the lib dems adopting centrit polices 2)There has been a rise in other factors, this explains why the conseravtuves won each class group in 2019 due to thier get brexit done as well as the alination of old labour 3
