how is RNA different to DNA?
ribose for pentose sugar
is single stranded
has uracil as a base instead thymine
transcription
a gene unwinds and unzips
RNA polymerase catalyzes RNA nucleotides. A -U C-G T-A
translation
the mRNA leaves the nucleus through nuclear pores
the tRNA is a loop where at one end there are three unpaired bases for the amino to join
and the other is a anticodon which joins to the complementary base pairs on the mRNA
when two amino acids are assembled next to each other they form polypeptide bonds.
How does this process get its energy?
ATP
