uses of daptomycin
A
used as alternative to Quinopristin/ Daflopristin & linezolid in MRSA & VRE (Vancomycin resistant enterococci e.g. E.faecium & faecalis).
Used in right-sided endocarditis.
*Indicated for ttt of complicated skin infections caused by S. aureus.

Not used with HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statins) → Muscle toxicity.
