What are the three experiences involved in having emotions
James-Lange theory
Emotion is the result of bodily changes (I am afraid because my heart is pounding)
Cannon-Bard theory
Brain processes both emotions and bodily changes at once (I am afraid and my heart is pounding at the same time)
Schater-Singer theory (two factor theory)
Emotions depend on physical arousal and cognitive interpretation (Racing heart + this is dangerous = fear)
Cognitive Appraisal theory (Lazarus)
Emotions arise from interpreting events (different emotions can arise from the same experience)
