Q

human activities/actions,
climate change,
multiple forms of pollution

A

ex: Human activities have an influence on the environment in terms of different aspects. Besides its impacts related to climate change, humans have also caused numerous kinds of pollution, directly affecting our own habitat.
= … influence the environment in many ways. In addition to contributing to climate change, humans have also caused various types of pollution, which directly affect our own habitat.
= …, posing direct threats to the very habitat we live in.

Q

air pollution,
respiratory diseases,
lung cancer

A

ex: Serious air pollution in many major cities OF/AROUND the world is a primary reason FOR the SHARP INCREASE IN respiratory diseases, or even lung cancer
= In many major cities across the globe, severe air pollution has become one of the main factors behind the sharp increase in respiratory diseases, and even lung cancer.
= Worsening air quality in numerous large cities worldwide is a leading cause of the growing number of respiratory diseases, as well as cases of lung cancer.

Q

fossil fuel combustion,
industrial activities,
exhaust fumes from transport vehicles,
emit an enormous amount of air pollutants,

A

ex: Fossil fuel combustion in various industrial activities, as well as exhaust fumes from transport vehicles, still emitS an enormous amount of air pollutants like CO2 on a daily basis. Unless the government implement tougher policies FOR environmental protection, citizens’ health will deteriorate over time.
- release large amounts of air pollutants
- enforce stricter environmental policies

Q

affect ecosystems,
life of aquatic animal species,

A

ex: This not only negatively affects the ecosystems and life of aquatic animal species but also the health of people living nearby.
= This harms both the ecosystems and life of aquatic animal species, and it also threatens nearby residents’ health.
= This problem does not only damage the balance of ecosystems and put aquatic animal species at risk, but it also creates health concerns for people who live in nearby communities, exposing them to polluted water and related diseases.

Q

Some argue that protecting the environment should be the duty of each individual nation instead of a multinational organization. Personally, I believe that each country has to make every effort to conserve its own natural habitat, and an international institution is also needed with the aim of advising and monitoring each country’s actions.
In conclusion, it is true that each individual country should be responsible for environmental protection for its own sake, it would be much better if there is an international body to act as a leader. There are many countries, yet only one planet, so mutual collaboration is essential for a healthy and sustainable future.

A

First and foremost, each individual nation and its inhabitants must ultimately take responsibility for the protection of the environment.
