OFF Light - Equip Cooling

What does the amber ‘off’ light indicate? (1sp)

Answer 2

[1sp - not enough airflow in the avionics compartment]

Illuminated (Amber):

• NO AIRFLOW from selected cooling supply / exhaust fan
• low airflow in fan duct due to fan failure
• sensor or filter is dirty
• OEV fails (EXHAUST OFF light ONLY)

* if SUPPLY [OFF] illuminates in flight w/in 30 min you could lose the Capts and Lower DU’s

* if EXHAUST [OFF] illuminates in flight w/in 30 min you could lose the FO’s and upper DU’s

• if there is an over temp on the ground it triggers an crew call horn in the nose wheel well
