• 0.2 - 0.4 mg/kg IVP (over 30-60 sec.) to a max of 20 mg

* May be repeated in 8-10 minutes

• May cause transient venous pain on injection
• Use with caution in pts with marked hypotension, severe asthma, or severe cardiovascular disease
• Verapamil may interact to cause prolonged respiratory depression & apnea
• Onset of action is 10-20 seconds & lasts 10 minutes
• Rapid injection can lead to hypotension
