After takeoff, if the crew raises the flap handle at 230
knots. The flaps will retract, but….
the horizontal stabilizer will remain down due to the speed
sensor, (215 +/- 10).
If electrical failure occurs with the speed brakes extended,
the speed brakes will
move to a trail position.
If main hydraulic system failure occurs while the
speedbrakes are extended, they will remain
extended until…………..
1.- the retract position is selected by the control switch or
2.- the throttles are advanced beyond approximately 80%
N2.
……………….when engaged, locks the primary flight
controls in neutral and both
throttles in cutoff
