-high pitched like threads of rope made of violin string too tighly strung and beginnign to pop

PPIs dampen acid but when stopped acid peaks for 48 hours
-Causes temporary rise and peak in symptoms
-Patient will want to go back on PPIs; difficulty in stoppping
-Adivse use of antacid when coming off PPI
