A
Within 72 hours after a recent possible exposure to HIV
• Receptive anal sex with HIV unknown status
Any of the following IF person with known HIV and unknown/detectable viral load
- receptive anal
- receptive vaginal
- occupational exposure (sharps or mucosal splash
- sharing needles
Considered (<1/10,000 risk) if
• insertive vaginal with known HIV and unknown/detectable
• insertive anal with unknown HIV status
