Placeholders
Placeholders (boxes for text, images) can be moved.
Slide Master
Slide Master to make universal changes (like background color) to all slides.
Views
Normal View is best for editing slide text.
Normal View
It shows the slide pane, thumbnail pane, and notes pane.
Slide thumbnail pane
The slide thumbnail pane is used to select and display a specific slide.
Slide Sorter View
Slide Sorter View shows all thumbnails and is useful for reordering slides.
Headers and Footers
Headers and Footers can be added to printouts.
Presentations
Presentations can be emailed as an attachment and published online.
To move a graphic
Drag it from the middle.
To resize it proportionally
Drag a corner handle.
Annotations
You can draw on slides during a presentation; these marks are called annotations.
Ink colors
You can select different ink colors; it is not always red.
Presentations and audio
Presentations can include audio.
Speaker icon
When an audio file is added, a speaker icon appears, not the file name.
Audio files
Audio files can be set to start on click or automatically; they do not always start automatically.
Status Bar
Shows current slide number and total slides.
Notes Pane
Displays notes for the current slide.
Design
The overall look (fonts, colors, graphics).
Layout
The arrangement of placeholders on a slide.
Content
The actual text, images, and objects on a slide.
New slides
New slides are added after the current slide.
Change slide order
Change slide order in Slide Sorter View by dragging the slide thumbnails.
