A

right ventricle, pulmonary semilunar valve, pulmonary trunk, right and left pulmonary arteries, through the hilum, into the lungs

what is the hilum and what does it contain?

A

it is the region on the posterior lung surface where structures enter/exit the lungs. it contains
- pulmonary arteries and veins
- bronchial artery
- lymphatics
- and nerves

what is the bronchovascular bundle? what is its function?

A

a connective tissue sheath that groups the pulmonary artery/vein, bronchial arter, bronchus, lymphatics, and nerves

its function is to ensure structural support and coordinated branches along the airways
