How are levees formed
Deposition- when the river floods the banks the load being transported is deposited onto the bank. Over time this builds up and a layered stucture is formed
Details on levees
Can be artificially strengthened or increased in height; they occur in the lower course (high volume and large discharge); river is now deep and wide and the landscape around it is flat
