Life Span concept
Encompass all the development that occurs from birth throughout life. It can be broken down into:
Infancy
birth to 2 years
childhood:
2 years to 10 females
2 years to 12 males
Adolescence:
10 yrs. to 18 females
12 yrs. to 20 males
Early Adulthood
18 to 20 yrs to 40 yrs
Middle Adulthood
40 yrs to 65 yrs
Older Adulthood
65 yrs to death
