A

Block Na+/K+/2Cl- cotransporter🡪increase Na+ excretion; also increase H+ excretion and stimulate HCO3- (base) reabsorption

What are possible side effects? Examples?

A

-Ex. Furosemide, bumetanide, Torsemide, ethacrynic acid

Possible ide effects: “OHH DAANG”
–ototxicity
–Hypokalemia
–Hypomagnesemia
–Dehydration
–Sulfa allergy (except with ethacrynic acid)
–Metabolic akalosis
–Nephritis
–Gout
