Take-off operation with visibility < 550m
Only allowed if Low Visibility Procedures exist at the departure AD.

What are the minimum visibility conditions required to operate on an AD?

Visi > 800m OR RVR > 550m
UNLESS the AD is LVO approved by its state AND
LVP have been established.

What are the PICs duties prior to commencing LVO?

1. Adequate visual / non-visual facilities must be available (lights, RWY markings, transmissometers, etc…)
2. LVPs are available
3. Flight crew is qualified
