Describe the normal anatomy of skin
Consists of three layers:
Epidermis - Shields underlying tissue (TB immunization)
Dermis- Contains bundles of collagen, nerve fibers, blood vessels, sweat glands, sebaceous glands, and hair follicles
Hypodermis-Contains blood vessels, nerves, lymph, and loose connective tissues filled with fat cells

Produced by hair follicles in the dermis. Hair growth, distribution, and pattern are an indicator of health. Illness results in hair changes
