Spain made a secret deal to give Louisiana Territory back to France, and because the US had troubles with France right now, he sent James Monroe to ask for the Louisiana Port, but because Napoleon was too busy with Britain, he made a deal to give the WHOLE Louisiana Territory to the US for only $15 million, and they quickly accepted, which expanded the US by over half.

Thomas Jefferson sent Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the Louisiana Territory. They went on many adventures and found many Native Americans.

Who was Sacagawea?
She was a Native American explorer who helped Lewis and Clark and showed expedition as an invaluable interpreter, navigator, and diplomat, significantly aiding their journey to the Pacific. She identified edible/medicinal roots and plants, facilitated Shoshone horse trades, and eased tensions with tribes by signaling peace.

What was the Marbury v. Madison?
John Adams made a last minute decision to hire 16 random new supreme court justices, called the "Midnight Judges", but the paperwork, because of how last minute this decision was, didn't get sent out to every person. William Marbury was one of those people. Thomas Jefferson told James Madison to not send out the papers. Marbury then sued Madison. They went to the Supreme Court. John Marshall, who was the Supreme court justice for this said that there were specific things that can go to the supreme court and that this case wasn't one of them. He also said there cannot be "Midnight Judges" because it's not reasonable.
