One method used to monitor progress is a training diary.
My training diary was set out in a booklet and had a page for each booklet. At the top of each page it had the date and a place for each of my sessions goals, a description of what I did, my feeling during the session and my next steps.
After each session I wrote down what I did in order without missing any steps out, after recording how I felt after each session.
After doing this I wrote down my next steps based on how I thought each session went. Eg whether I thought any of my steps should be changed to another approach.
I finished by reading over the information I had written down and u used it to help me set a realistic short term and long term goal for my next session.

-it was easy to use and I could take it to train with me. Check it during training to ensure I was doing the correct approaches at the correct intensities
-kept all recorded information inside a booklet. Everything was kept in one place meaning I was unlikely to get lost and easy to find info on previous sessions

-The training diary was fairly effective in monitoring my progress. It acted as a permanent record which meant i was able to compare my re-tests to my initial baseline data to see if i improve. Boosted my motivation and confidence levels when i found i improved.
-“”. Quite limited in that i did not always complete my training diary straight after my training session, which led to me forgetting how i completely felt. This led to some info being inaccurate and invalid as a result
-“”. Limited as sometimes i forgot to take it to training with me, meaning not every session was recorded. This led to some vital info being left out and not being bale to make some neccesary changes in future sessions.
