What to do during cold weather instruction
- Keep the class moving and stops brief
- During stops, look for areas out of the wind and away from blowing snow.
- Keep guests backs to the sun and wind for added warmth- facing away from the sun allows the student to see you better
- Look for signs of fatigue or inability to focus which can indicate hypothermia, heat exhaustion or dehydration.

Parallel on groomed blues; testing skills on varied terrain and snow conditions
Level 7 Skier
Controlled parallel turns, maintaining rhythm and speed control on groomed blacks
Level 8 Skier
Good technique on all terrain and snow conditions, used carved short radius turns
