1. Cyclic - flare to reduce forward airspeed
At approximately 20-30’ agl
2. Collective - increase to reduce rate of descent
3. Cyclic - forward to obtain skid level attitude
4. Collective - continue application to cushion the touchdown
5. Pedals - maintain direction
6. Emergency shutdown complete
Caut: if aft skid hits first don’t pitch forward to counter

    Caut: 1 excessive rise in ITT, itt rapid through 870, low batt voltage on engagement on start more likely to hot start and should be aborted; 2 abort if no light off in 10 sec; 3 use gpu on following starts

    Warn: may result in engine fail

    Warn: 1 rapid movement of throttle in man could cause exceedance; N1 <51% will flameout
    Note: consider putting IGN sw to Auto

note: can’t use burner on ground; chip can be burned 3x per flight

    Caut: attempting immediate restart or going back to idle could damage engine

3. Monitor transmission parameters

Warn: possible indications of imminent failure - yaw kicks with no control input, increase power req’d for given collective setting, increase noise vibes or abnormal fumes
note: transit low alt min power req’d airspeed

  3. chip burner switch - activate and release
    if message doesn’t extinguish or on 4th message
  4. xmsn malfunction emergency procedure - perform
    don’t use the burner if xmsn oil px below limits
    note: 1 can’t burn on the ground; 2 3 burns per flight; flickering/intermittent chip indications should be considered a single event

Loss of T/R thrust in a hover
1. Twist grip - idle 2. Cyclic - eliminate drift 3. Collective - increase to cushion the landing caut: slight rotation to the right can be expected

Loss of T/R thrust in cruise flight
1. Collective - lower to eliminate yaw 2. Airspeed - adjust to reach a suitable landing site on reaching point of intended landing 3. Autorotate 4. Twist grip - off prior to touchdown Note - increase in power requires increase in speed to control yaw

T/R chip
1. Reduce power 2. Chip burner sw - activate and release if message doesn't extinguish or on 4th message 3. Land as soon as possible Warn:1 be prepared for loss of T/R thrust; 2 high power settings may result in gearbox fail Note: 1 can't burn on the ground; 2 can only burn 3 chips per flight; 3 flickering lights should only be considered one event

Hyd System 1 or 2 px loss
1. Establish VMC 2. Avoid rapid movement of the flight controls 3. Airspeed - reduce smoothly below 90 kias 4. Affected servo sw - off 5. land as soon as possible Caut: pull up maneuvers and AOB>25 can result in excessive loads Note: 1 TR not boosted with #1 fail;2 rapid power change with #1 could result in uncontrolled yaw; right xwinds suck with #1 fail

Emergency DC Bus Fail
1. Land as soon as possible Caut: ITT reference lost - reduce limit by 30 Note: ICS can be brought back in back up or EMER can try to reset EMER bus CB 1x will see: 1inv off, 1 sas off, 1 vg, xfer pump, fuel low, adsb fail, loss of Q indicator, fuel qty fail, FT fail but no advisory, ICS fail, higher than normal ITT

Fuel Pump 1 and/or 2 fail
if both pumps fail to 0 psi 1. Land as soon as possible Note: 1 consider putting ign in continuous; 2 flight time with both pumps off must be maf'd

1. Confirm fire if fire is confirmed 2. Land immediately if fire is not confirmed 3. land as soon as possible when on deck 4. emergency shutdown - complete

Cockpit/Cabin fire in flight
1. Air Conditioner/Vent/Heater switches - off 2. Vent knob - push 3. airspeed - adjust, as req'd 4. doors/windows - close if electrical source suspected 5. unnecessary electrical equip - secure 6. Fire extinguisher - as required if fire persists 7. land immediately if fire extinguishes 8. land as soon as possible when on deck 9. Emergency shutdown - complete Caut: if fire not completely extinguished, increasing ventilation could aggravate problem

1. Vent ckpt sw - on 2. Vent knob - pull 3. airspeed - adjust, as reqd 4. doors/windows - open if smoke and fumes persist 5. slip or skid aircraft to eliminate smoke and fumes 6. land immediately 7. emergency shutdown - complete if smoke/fumes extinguish 8. land as soon as possible

Doors - open/jettison, as req'd 5. landing light/search light - as req'd when on deck 6. emergency shutdown - complete if water landing 7. underwater egress - execute Warn: 1. jettisoning left ckpt door if fwd flight could hit t/r; 2 stay strapped or get clapped

1. SEBD - don, as req'd 2. Communication cords - disconnect 3. Doors - open/jettison 4. place hand on known reference point once all violent motion has stopped 5. harness - release 6. exit helicopter after egress 7. swim clear and inflate LPU WARN: 1 don't inflate inside bird; 2 jettison doors prior to water entry; 3 ics cords could hamper egress

1. Airspeed - reduce below 80 kias 2. Maneuver smoothly 3. land as soon as possible
