15
Q

What is velocity in terms of a circle?

A

If an object moves at a constant speed in a CIRCLE then its velocity is constantly changing even though its speed is constant.

Q

What does the special rule of velocity and moving around a circle also apply to?

A

This also includes an object moving around part of a circle, like moving around a corner

17
Q

Watch distance time graph video!!!
(FreeScienceLessons)

A

👩🏼‍🦲🌌

18
Q

What does the gradient of a distance time graph tell us?

A

The gradient tells us the objects speed.

19
Q

What does an upward sloping curve show us in a distance time graph?

A

This tells us that the object is constantly increasing in speed.
ACCELERATING

20
Q

What does the acceleration of an object tell us?

A

The acceleration tells us the change in its velocity over a given time.

21
Q

What is the equation for acceleration?

A

Acceleration = change in velocity / time

22
Q

How do calculate change in velocity?

A

(Final velocity - initial velocity)

23
Q

What does a negative number mean in terms of velocity?

24
Q

How to calculate distance recalled using a velocity time grap when acceleration and deceleration is not constant?

A

(Curve lines) means you count as may full or almost full squares and then find the area of those

25
What is terminal velocity with skydivers etc?
1) The upwards air resistance is small due to person still not moving very quickly. 2) As they speed up, air resistance increase. Eventually balancing the downwards weight force. 3) Now the skydiver’s acceleration is zero. Meaning they are travelling at a constant speed. This is TERMINAL VELOCITY
