draw blood on the opposite side of breast that was removed
you can use a tourniquet on the arm that you can draw from
double breast removal
pick any arm but do NOT use a tourniquet
intravenous (IV) sites
always collect distal (below) IV site
if you collect above, youll get erroneous results. blood will be diluted
aspirin
apply direct pressure cuz they might bleed longer
anticoagulant
warfarin
coumadin
heparin
also apply direct pressure since they might bleed longer
latex allergy
check to see if the tourniquet is made of latex.
if it is, do not use
