-Start APU
-BCN on
FA “Bags stowed, ok to close doors?”
-acknowledge A/C loading and OFP release on MCDU ACARS
-Sterile ON/no elect devices ON
-Thrust-IDLE
-Steering-OFF

Question 3

PIC before taxi flow

Answer 3

• Press TOGA (Verify FDs both sides)
• Pull up MFD flight controls page
• say “Set takeoff flaps ___, flight controls check”
• check flight controls (verify ‘steering off’ and announce “rudder check”)

Question 4

PIC taxi flow

Answer 4

• Turn on taxi nose light
• Depress and release steering tiller
• Gently Tap brakes
• Confirm runway on MCDU
• PFD flight instrument check

Question 5

PIC before takeoff flow

Answer 5

• Turn on auto throttles (confirm FD and AT in takeoff modes on FMA)
• Lights as required:

When cleared onto runway-STROBE
When cleared for takeoff-LANDING AND TAXI SIDE LIGHTS-ON. TAXI NOSE-OFF

PIC after landing/taxi in flow

• Call ”Flaps____(0/2), after landing check”
• Landing and strobes off
• Taxi nose light on. (Also side if night).

Question 7

PIC when parked at the gate flow

Answer 7

• Parking brake set
• Sterile, no elect devices, and fstn seat belts OFF
• thrust levers IDLE
• Shut Down both engines. (only #2 if APU isn’t online. Then #1 only after GPU hooked up)
• Hydraulic systems 1&2 AUTO and 3A OFF
• Red beacon OFF (only when both engines are stopped and doors disarmed)
