• FBC,CRP
• ensure HCG negative
• high vaginal & endocervical swabs
• pelvic USS

Mx?

Abx as per guidelines:

• oral ofloxacin + metronidazole
• IM ceftriaxone + oral doxycycline + metronidazole

surgical –> in severe cases w evidence of pelvic abscess

• referral to GUM clinic
• consider removing IUD
