A

Pluto represents the soul’s evolutionary intent and desires from the past life (based on sign and house) and thus, the present life.

South Node: the mode of operation for attaining the specific desires in the past.
South Node ruler(s): the vehicle to facilitate the mode of operation in the past.

together, will show how it was shaped in the past

North Node: the evolved and intended mode of operation for attaining desires in present life.

Q

Pluto in the 1st house or Aries

A

Evolutionary Lesson: A continuation of self-discovery. Fulfilling their instinctual desires for freedom and independence in order to experience, and thus discover and become who they are. Constant reinvention.

Shadows: The inner turmoil of cycles of identity crisis - the instinctual need to grow, evolve, move forward, mixed with the natural resistance of Pluto can create feelings of inner frustration and anger that can be intense. Often projected onto others who are seen as source of stagnation. Attracting others who can have a shocking effect on them.

Strengths:

Polarity Point: Because relationships are a necessary point for self-discovery, they will naturally draw in others who can help them fulfill their evolutionary requirements and be that for others. Often early in life they are intense, brief encounters. Learning lesson of equality and relativity.

Q

Pluto in the 5th House or Leo

A

Evolutionary Lesson: Learning creative self-actualization. A desire and need to establish and project this creative purpose upon the environment. And learning to take charge of their lives - direct their own plays - from a place of non ego attachment.

Shadow: A compulsive emotional need and craving for attention, love and adulation leading to a deep need for validation. Watch out for emotional risk taking with an underlying need for power and/or recognition. Self-centredness. Control/manipulation for power/attention. Expecting others to cater to their needs.

Characteristics: The innate knowing that they have a special destiny to fulfill. Once lessons have been learned, they can act as natural leaders and pioneers in their field and naturally be able to guide the individual development and actualization of those they touch.

Polarity Point: Recognizing that they are the vessel for creativity, not the source. Developing an objective, rather than subjective focus. Learning that they are a member of the play, not the director of it. Learning to link their creative purpose to a socially useful or relevant function.

Q

Pluto in the 9th House or Sagittarius

A

Evolutionary Lesson: To understand life and themselves in a cosmological, metaphysical, philosophical or religious context. The desire/need to explain one’s relationship or connection to larger forces.

Innate Desire: To search and discover the fundamental truths that explain the existence of the world and the universe in an unrestricted way.

Shadow: Egocentric over-identification and emotional attachment to a certain philosophical or religious system. Alienation from the limitations of society. Limitations leading to internal and external confrontations for these individuals. Might feel rootless, rather than identifying with a specific nation.

Characteristics: Feeling of alienation. Strong intuitive function. Conceptual thinkers. Can be very fixed in their beliefs. Loners. Value honesty. Natural storytellers with tendency to exaggerate. Concerned with truth and not opinions.

Polarity Point: Learning not to overly attach their ego to these visions and philosophies. Understanding that they did not create these visions, rather they attuned to them. And that truth looks different for each individual, and that’s okay and necessary.

Q

Pluto in the 2nd House or Taurus

A

Evolutionary Intent: Indicates a prior evolutionary desire and need to develop self-reliance and self-sufficiency.

Innate Desire: To survive and sustain themselves on the physical and therefore emotional plane.

Shadows: Coming into this world with a limited vision or knowledge about themselves and life in general. Can create inertia or laziness and a resistance to change - if south node is in Gemini, then resistance would be less than if Capricorn. Subconscious fear of losing or not having enough material security.

Polarity Point: Understanding that there is more to life than material values.
